NYWC Rampage Results from Deer Park on 6/7
by Fatty Smurf

The NYWC returned to the Deer Park Community Center on Saturday night, June 7th for another edition of Rampage. The show began at approximately 7:50 with the National Anthem performed by Jackie from the Deer Park High School.

Southern Vinny Stylin enters the ring, after the National Anthem. He begins to talk about how he has no respect for this country. Matt Hype, who was holding the US Flag told how he was proud to be an American which set up a match between the two later in the evening.

Opening match saw King Nothing with Tommy King and Nuke get beaten by John Curse. Lots of interference by Nuke. Nothing went for a suplex but curse fell out of it and hit a modified slop drop on Nothing for the pinfall. Good openingg bout.

Tusk def Lamar Braxton Porter in a battle of the big men. At one point Tusk hit the bonsai drop onto Porter's back. Tusk hit a diamond cutter followed by a splash for the pin. After the match some big guy ran in and powerbombed Porter.

Armand Demuerto def Nuke. Demuerto dominated the opening minutes of the match until Nuke took the upper hand powerbombing Armand into the top turnbuckle. Curse came to ringside, punched Tommy King, and distracted Nuke. While Nuke was distracted, Armand hit a low blow on Nuke followed by a skinner drop. Armand went to the ring apron and hit a springboard swanton elbow drop onto Nuke for the pinfall.

Thus concludes our "dark matches" as the rest of the show will be taped for public access television.

Prince Charles comes to the ring for the Prince's Palace. Blah Blah Blah. Enter the promoter, Greg Stengel. In case you didn't know, I am NOT a fan of promoters having to involve themselves in angles, period. Nuff said. Long story short, he hates Curse. Curse comes out. Ru Star enters. Ru asks Greg to be special ref in his match later. Curse books the match but makes himself guest ref. Greg and Ru attack Curse. Tyler Payne makes the save.

Tag Team Gauntlet for the Tag Titles. From Hicksville, Cuba, the champions Team Corona. Spyder comes to the ring without his partner. It takes him a good 10 minutes to simply say, "My partner is drunk and unable to wrestle." Note to the booker...do not give the mic to those who can not speak. Spyder faces Ken Scampi and Joey Braggioli. Spyder holds his own for a while but Ken and Joey dominate most of the match until John Shane comes to ringside. While Shane distracts the ref and Scampi the big guy who attacked Braxton hits the ring hits a Death Valley Driver on Joey, setting up Spyder to get the pin. John Shane introduces his team, The Solution (Havok and Popo Gigio). John Shane was sporting the black armband in tribute to the late great Classy Freddy Blassie. Within seconds, The Solution hit the Problem Solver on Spyder for the win. Shane then challenges anyone in the back. Enter Mikey Whipwreck and Wayne. Mikey spent most of the match eating french fries as the Solution dominated Wayne. Mikey finally gets the tag and throws Havok out to the floor, Mikey follows. Wayne hits a twist of fate on Papa Don. Mikey goes to spew the mist on Popadon but mists Shane. Havok goes for the spear on Mikey. Mikey moves and Havok nails his partner. Wayne hits a stunner, Mikey hits a stunner and Mikey pins Havok. Your new NYWC Tag Team Champions, Mikey and Wayne. John still is walking around Deer Park blinded by the mist. (Editor's note: all spelling mistakes in this match were intentional.)

Iceberg lost to Mike Mayhem in a decent match. Why Iceberg is against a talent like Mike is beyond me but he seemed to hold his own fairly well.

Mr. Vendetta beat J Silva (who comes to the ring with Andy Kaufman's entrance music). Vendetta spent WAY too much time on the mic before the match. With Vendetta was a caucasion version of Mr. Fuji. Silva off the top rope with a dive to Vendetta on the floor. Good match for two big men. Vendetta with a one arm powerbomb off the ropes and he is the winner. After the match, Vendetta does the concerto to Silva.

Johnny Ova vs Tony Burma. Outstanding match. Ova worked on Burma's leg the majority of the match. At one point Ova hit a suicide dive over the top rope to the floor only to be caught and powerslammed by Burma. Ova got fed up and attempted to leave only to have Dan Barry throw him back into the ring. Ova gets back in the ring, goes for the Ovadrive but Burma hits a big powerbomb for the three count.

In celebration of one of the fan's birthday, Curse came out with a cake as we were all led in the singing of Happy Birthday. Nice gesture by the NYWC. (although I think they took the cake back to the locker room!)

After a 20 minute intermission the action continued.

Southern Vinny Stylin was defeated by Matt Hype. The entire match the crowd was chanting "USA", I hate to break it to all the great fans in Deer Park, but Mississippi, the home state of Stylin.. IS IN THE USA!!! Why chant USA when BOTH men are from USA!? This set up for a rematch for SVS' Interstate Championship.

Lightheavyweight Champion Dan Barry defended the title against Grim Reefer. OUTSTANDING MATCH. Suicide dive by Barry onto Reefer causing the entranceway to collapse. Back into the ring, Reefer suplexes Barry over the top and back to the floor. Reefer with a frog splash off the top to the floor. Barry and Reefer battle to the top rope where Barry hits his Irish Car Bomb. Johnny Ova runs in from the crowd, hits a slop drop but Reefer only gets a two count. Barry misses a shooting star press and Reefer immediately follows with a crippler crossface. Barry turns it into a submission move of his own. Reefer with the crossface again, Barry with his submission move. Ova runs in and kicks Barry. The ref sees it and calls for the DQ. Reefer is pissed and starts fighting with Ova.

Ru Star then faced Tyler Payne with Curse as the ref. After both men fought back and forth, Payne hit a hip toss and Ru seemed to have reinjured his ribs. As soon as Payne turned his back, Ru attacked. Payne then gives Curse a low blow. Ru star picks him up and Payne hits Curse with the hart attack. They then talk about how they are the most dominating team in the NYWC.

In the main event, Dickie Rodz was defeated by Livewyre. The best match I have ever seen by Rodz. Livewyre worked over the left arm the whole match while Rodz worked over Livewyre's back. Rodz hit an off the top rope DVD. Tons of two counts. Both men hit versions of the famouser. Livewyre hit his running razor's edge for a 2 count. Rodz hit the same move for a 2 count. Rodz goes for the sunset flip but Livewyre sits down, hooks both legs, and scores the pinfall to become the NEW NYWC Champion.

After the match, the locker room clears and surrounds the ring. Livewyre thanks his trainers Curse and Mayhem. He thanks all the workers who wrestle in the NYWC and he thanks the fans. John Curse then explains to those who do not know already that Livewyre has been invited to OVW which is the WWE farm league.

Next NYWC show is July 12th. Check out www.nywcwrestling.com for more info. If you haven't already been to a show, what the hell are you waiting for?? Eight bucks for 3 plus hours of great wrestling and family entertainment.

JCW Recap
By Guilded Crotch

Jersey Championship Wrestling returned to Garfield New Jersey on Sunday, June 8th at the Garfield Boys & Girls Club with "DEMAND RESPECT".

The show not only started exactly at the scheduled 3:00 bell time BUT they also had an actual bell to ring!!! Luminaries in attendance included Fat Frank, Crazy Ivan, Damian Adams, Noel (on her crutches), Tim, Danny Giamondo, Ryan Wing, Bodyguard For Hire, Dani the Suicidal Photographer, and Ace Darling's tights.

Ricky O was introduced and got on the mic. He first informed the crowd that due to injury, Reckless Youth would not be wrestling on the show. However, a suitable replacement in Kruel was found. Ricky's other announcement was that this year's 4th Annual JCW J Cup will take place at the Garfield Boys & Girls Club on Sunday, August 24th. The first name announced... Homicide. Stay tuned to The Wrestling Clothesline as well as http://www.jcwwrestling.com for more info on this show, as it becomes available.

TV Commentators Mike Berkowitz and Lord Clarence MacDougal enter the ring. MacDougal talks about the recent passing of Classy Freddy Blassie and his influence on him and many of the wrestlers on the show. He asks for a moment of silence for a 10 bell salute. They then run down the card for this afternoon.

The opening match was for the JCW Tag Team Titles as the champions Los Boricuas defended their titles against Azrael and Christopher Idol. John Shane comes to the ring to tell Los Boricuas just because the DRS are gone does not mean it is over between he and them. Shane says he will have tag teams lined up to take them out. He told them he hated their stupid guts and Los Boricuas dodged toward Shane. In his attempt to get away, he took a bad fall of the ring apron and looked to have injured his knee. Ricky O and Nick Niosi help carry Shane (who was wearing his black armband in tribute to Blassie) to the back.

The match was a very good one considering the newly formed team of Axrael and Idol got a tag title shot (almost like the Basham's got a non title match in their 2nd ever WWE appearance). Azrael and Idol took the upper hand at the beginning. It was only a matter of time before the Boricuas took control, hit the double frog splash on Azrael and scored the pinfall. After the match, all 4 men shake hands as a show of respect.

Disturbed Dreams, Damian Dragon and Foxxy Dreams entered the ring. Damian announced that tonight would be the final match between himself and Shawn Sheridan. Dragon talked about possessions. He talked about how Foxxy was the one thing that meant most to him in the world. What meant most to SH3? His hair. Damian made the challenge. Tonight, Hair vs Hair. Sheridan and Shawndido then came to ringside. Sheridan begged the promoters to never let Damian touch the mic again. Shawn stated that hair v hair was ridiculous and that he wanted his hair against Foxxy. If he wins he wants Foxxy for 90 days. He told Damian to shake his head for yes or no. Damian attempted to answer but Sheridan insisted on a yes or no answer.

Next up, for the JCW LightHeavyweight Championship, champ Johnny Ova defeated Rob Eckos with Mike Winner. Eckos sent Winner to do commentary. Eckos challenges Ova to a pose down. Eckos poses first. Ova poses second. As Ova's back is turned, Eckos attacks. Eckos did all he could to keep away from Ova. He was even chased around the ring by Ova. Match went back and forth. Eckos went for an atomic drop but out of nowhere, Ova rolled him up for the three count.

The JCW Heavyweight Championship match was next. JCW Champion Don Montoya defeated Chaos. Chaos looked too much like Greg Allman. So much that the 8 people who were awake in the crowd (out of the 100 someodd people there) were singing Allman Brothers tunes (John Shane would have been so proud of our rendition of Sweet Melissa). Montoya hit a dropkick which caused Chaos to fall out of the ring. After the encouragement from some "Crew", Montoya faked the suicide dive. Montoya, who declared, "I'm a Freebird Now!" hit a corkscrew legdrop and a sitout powerbomb for the win. Montoya left to the sounds of Conan The Barbarian's music (which Brambilla swears is the theme from Steel Magnolias).

A Lumberjack match was next. Livewyre was scheduled to have John Shane in his corner. Shane was not there (due to the injury sustained in the opening bout). Jay Lethal was accompanined by mommy. Great match as both men took turns throwing their opponent to the wolves at ringside. Back in the ring, Lethal went for a leapfrog only to spinebustered by Livewyre. Livewyre with a powerslam followed by a camel cluthc. Great psychology working over Lethal's back the entire match. Livewyre goes for his finisher but Lethal escapes. Lethal with some stiff clotheslines followed by an off the top rope headbutt. Lethal clothesline's Livewyre over the top rope to the floor. Lethal to the top rope and a cross body to all the "heels" on the floor. (Eckos, who was nowhere near the pileup, fell down.. must have been the sheer force of the wind). As the lumberjacks begin to brawl, the referee is knocked down. Lethal has Livewyre pinned. A masked lumberjack hops into the ring, removes his belt and starts whipping Lethal. The masked man and Livewyre double team Lethal. The mask man removes his black shirt and mask to reveal, The Sure Thing John Shane. Livewyre holds Lethal. Shane gets a chair. Fred the Elephant Boy gets in the ring only to be knocked down by John. Lethal's mom gets in and grabs the chair as he goes to swing. Shane turns around only to be hit by Lethal's mom. John gets ready to hit mom with the chair but on the backswing hits Livewyre. Lethal goes for the pin while his mom tackles and beats down John. The ref recovers and makes the 3 count. Lethal is your winner. They then strip Shane down to his underwear in the ring. (pictures to be seen on the Wrestling Clothesline in the near future.. or as soon as Mr. Shane has something bad to say about us LOL).

For the JCW TV Title, Dirty Money with Extreme T&A Devin Sturgis defended his title against John Walters. Every prior match I have seen Walters in has been phenomenal. His match with Reckless Youth at Lucky's was easily the best match in JCW so far this year. Well, all great things must come to an end. Not even Walters seemed to be able to carry this match. The finish saw Walters put Money into the sharpshooter and Sturgis (who Brambilla figured out looks like a "fat Joey Fatone") hit Walters from behind with the title. John Walters wins by DQ. After the match, Money hits a spinebuster on Walters, and Sturgis puts the boots to him, before they leave.

Dan Maff was up next against Kruel. Early into the match, Maff was whipped into the ropes and fell, holding his leg. He made his way to the corner where he continued to hold his leg. When Kruel came over, Maff kicked him in the balls and took control. Maff put Kruel into a Boston Crab. Maff went to the top rope but Kruel caught him with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Maff goes for the burning hammer but Kruel escapes and immediately applies an armbar (the first time the entire match Kruel worked on the arm which is NOT like him. Normally, Kruel's entire in ring psychology is to wear down his opponents arm). Maff ends up making his way to the ropes for the break. Maff on the ring apron, Kruel hooks him for a suplex. In mid suplex, Maff turns around and falls on Kruel, a handfull of tights and a three count. Your winner, Dan Maff.

The Midcard Express, Ru Star and Dan Barry with JT Cornette (who really needs a tennis racquet) made their debut against Team Ethic, Dave Greco and Dixie. Great tag match with 4 great workers. Star and Barry took control, not allowing Dixe to tag in Greco. When he finally made the tag, the ref didn't see it and wouldn't allow it. Attempted claw by Dixie but Barry dropkicks his leg to escape. Fat Frank would like to know, "With all the 100's of lightheavyweights, when's the last time you saw a flying headscissors?". Just something to ponder. Midcards missed the Rocket Launcher. Dixie applies the claw to JT Cornette. Greco hits the giant swing into a Dixie dropkick. Dixie and Greco double clawed Ru Star and JT (much to Brams' delight). Double 2nd rope fist drop onto Barry for the win by Team Ethic. Ru Star carried his partner back to the locker room. (He didn't need to be carried but he was LOL).

Your next match... the final confrontation... whoever throws in the towel first, their man loses. Disturbed Dreams enter. Showtime Shawn Sheridan and Shawndido enter to Europe's Final Countdown (GREAT SONG!!). Shawn sends Shawndido to the back (preventing his cornerman from throwing in the towel). Shawn and Damian brawl on the floor. Damian grabs the white marker board of death and hits Shawn in the ribs. He follows up with a bulldog onto the sign. Finally, he smashes the sign over Shawn's head (much to the delight of the crowd). Shawn starts to make his recovery. Shawn nails Damian with a blockbuster off the ring apron to the floor. Straight Jacket applied by Sheridan followed by a DVD onto a chair. Sheridan grabs the chair and makes his way to the top rope. He throws the chair to Damian and jumps off the top. Damian throws the chair into Sheridan, in mid air. Dragon goes beserk with a ton of kicks to the body of Sheridan (speaking of body.. just a reminder.. Foxxy is at ringside!!). Damian with the Tajiri like kick to the head of Shawn. Damian with a stunner into his own knee then an elbow off the top. Damian with the drop toe hold smashing Sheridan's face into a chair. Damian follows up with a boot to the chair which Sheridan's head is still on!! Damian puts Shawn into the Tree Of Woe and follows with 2 sliding dropkicks into a chair into Shawn's face. Damian hits the red mist on Sheridan and hits the sliding dropkick again. Foxxy goes to get the towel from the Way. Shawndido runs out and gets into an altercation with Foxxy. During their melee, Shawndido throws one of the towels into the ring. Shawndido grabs the other towel from Foxxy as the ref rings the bell. Since the ref (Beeker) sees Shawndido with a towel and Foxxy with none, he awards the match to Shawn Sheridan who now wins Foxxy for 90 days. Damian attempts to leave with Foxxy, only to be stopped by Nick and Fred. They escort Damian out of the building and Shawn throws Foxxy over his shoulders, carrying her to the back, while singing The Final Countdown and NEVER missing a word. Awesome match. Match of the night. Great combination of comedy, wrestling, ariel moves, and psychology. Everything you could possibly want out of one match. Plus, the pairing of Foxxy and Shawn is bound to provide some amazing stuff at the upcoming JCW events.

Two out of three falls. Ace Darling vs Josh Daniels. First fall by pin. Second fall by submission. Third fall, if necessary, anything goes. Ace wearing the most beautiful tights ever, yells at Brams to shut up. Brams responds, "Don't get mad at me cuz your'e wearing those pants!". Ace replies, "Your mother gave them to me!". "Because she didn't want them anymore!" yells Brams. Meanwhile, a member of "Verbal Abuse", Tommy
Hunter, who was alongside cohort Robert Payes, shouted "Those pants are so old, I can see the sailboat." I cried laughing for a good 5 minutes.

The match was excellent. Ace went for his flying DDT off the ropes but was caught with a Northern Lights Suplex. A flying cross bodyblock by Daniels which Ace rolled right over into a pin, with his feet on the ropes, for the first fall. Second fall begins and Josh immediately begins working on Ace's back. Ace is able to take control and puts Josh in a figure four. Josh makes the ropes. Josh gets the cloverleaf on Ace, forcing him to tap out. The winner of the 2nd fall, Josh Daniels. Daniels then released the hold. WHY!!?? Keep him in it and win!! Daniels returns to the cloverleaf only for Ace to reach the ropes. Ace brings a chair into the ring. He facebusters Josh onto it. Ace to the second rope, goes for the DDT but misses and lands ass first on the chair. Daniels with a belly to back onto the chair. Daniels with a superplex, followed by a powerbomb and a texas cloverleaf. Out runs "wrestler 1" in a hood to break the hold. Daniels throws him out of the ring. Enter "wrestler 2" only to get thrown out by Daniels. Ace hits the DDT (FINALLY) onto Josh for the pin and the match. Great match. The crown loves to hate Ace. Too bad Noel was working commentary for the tv show and couldn't be at ringside for her man.

The main event of the evening was next. CM Punk v Homicide. Match started with a series of headlock takedowns followed by a series of armdrags. Tilt a Whirl backbreaker by Punk, followed by an off the top rope sunset flip for a 2 count. Homicide hits a belly to back on Punk who runs in with a vicious knee to Homicide's face. Homicide applies an STF. Punk elbows his way out of it. Homicide is able to get the STF on again, this time he pulls back on Punk by his hair, forcing Punk to submit. Good match but a little short.

Overall, another outstanding show by JCW in a GREAT building. Why there were only 100 or so people here is beyond me. The in ring product that JCW has produced over the past few months is equal to if not better than those indy feds that consistently draw. JCW Returns to Paramus on June 29th. Get your asses there and see one of the best products on the indy scene today!!!
