Once again, I had no plans on, nor did I want to, do one of these damn recaps. However, when I arrived home I once again had more emails asking me about Vegas than I had actual wrestling news and info, I took that as a sign. A sign that you are all as sick, if not sicker than me. Why you need to know what happened to me in Vegas when you can easily go there yourself, is beyond me. With that in mind here goes the CliffNotes Recap
(warning, if you are easily offended by some language, you may not want to read this).

Just want to see the damn pics? Click Here! (pics updated 1/15)

Since it was a week long trip to Vegas I figured I would break up my recap into two sections.

Got to Vegas on Jan 1st. Great flight with a hilarious flight crew (with lines like "in the event of a water landing.. yes a water landing between New York and Nevada" and "in the event you are not pleased with our service the plane is equipped with 6 exits".) and we got in 30 minutes early.

Made our way to the Riviera. Keep in mind, this was not the hotel of choice. My original reservations were for Westward Ho but they decided to close down in Nov. Riviera took over all their reservations and kept the same rates.

From the start, I knew it couldn't be good as there were no humans at the hotel for check-in. Everything was computerized. The computer is asking questions about what tower I want to stay in. How the hell am I supposed to know which is which? Can I ask someone? NOPE!

On the bottom of the printed receipt, there are directions (in a 5 pt font) telling you how to get to your room. Guess what!! The directions were WRONG!!! After a good 20 minutes or so.. we found the room.

I won't even get into the fact that there were missing lightbulbs, a bed that destroyed my back, no fridge (so I had to buy a $1.99 cooler at Walgreens), and a soda machine that wouldn't take any money. Oh yeah, there were also 7 channels for the hotel. Out of maybe 15 channels, SEVEN were the SAME channel promotion the hotel, it's shows, services, etc. Talk about overkill.

Anywhoo.... The walls were paper thin. You could hear every noise in every direction of the room. The ice machine magically worked when no one was using it. I think there was a bowling alley above us because it sure as hell sounded like it.

I could go on and on. Luckily, the room was only going to be used for a few hours a night.

Onto the shows....

Night 1 - saw Fantasy. Excellent show! One of the best I've seen in Vegas thus far. Great mix of music and some of the best looking women in any show in Vegas.

Day 2 - Saw the afternoon show of Rick Thomas at the Stardust. Very good magician. Too many kids in the audience for me.

Day 3 - Saw the Mac King afternoon show. Another awesome show from top to bottom. Got a picture with Mac and his book after the show.

Night 3 - saw Bite at the Stratosphere. Second time seeing Bite and it's just as good as the first. The nice thing about Bite is they play the actual music (in this case tons of rock from the 70s- 90s) and they don't have some horrible person doing a karakoe version of the songs.

We also saw EROCKtica at the Rio and Crazy Girls at the Riviera. Both were less than stellar. When the highlight of the show (Crazy Girls) is a juggler who barely speaks English, you know you are in trouble. If you ever have the opportunity to see these 2 shows, even for half price or for free.. RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!

EROCKtica not only had a horrible Road Dogg/Kid Rock wannabe who massacred the songs but had some of the scariest looking women I have seen anywhere. Crazy Girls... they had a funny juggler. LOL

I lost money on Notre Dame but won on Texas. Unfortunately, while I won on Texas with the points, I also bet on the under 70 so I lost there.

I'm on a roll!!

Next up, a recap of the conventions.

Don't forget.. to go to AmericanSexStar.com and and vote for Brea Bennett. If you don't know her, she's the one in my profile pic and I figured I'd try and help her win this contest since she wants it so bad. So, as long as you are not offended by "Playboy TV", drop by and vote often.

Part 2:

The 2006 AVN Expo was held in Las Vegas January 5 - 8. Literally every adult video company in the world is represented.

This year was more of a fiasco than previous years, as the convention was split up on two different floors. The first day, which is "Trade Only", we arrived a little early and got our hand stamped (a new rule put into place to supposedly make life easier for us). We then walked into the convention through the huge entrance way where it clearly stated "Trade Entrance".

It didn't take us long to realize something was wrong. It ends up, we were downstairs, in the smaller of the two rooms. We were in Hall G. The main room was Hall A. Upstairs we went.

Of course the bigger companies are prominently displayed in the front of the convention. Club Jenna, Adam and Eve, Vivid, Hustler and Metro all had booths (with various areas for girls to sign) directly in the front of the room. Club Jenna posted a daily schedule to let fans know when their contract girls (Ashton Moore, Jenna Jameson, Mackenzie Lee, Jessi Cappelli, Sophia Rossi, and others would be signing.) Adam and Eve mainly had Carmen Luvana, Austyn Moore, and Mari Possa (their three contract girls) along with Katie Morgan, Nina Hartley, and Alexandra Silk (who we never got to see). Vivid has their array of girls from Monique Alexander, Lexi Marie, Sunny Leone, Brianna Banks, Mercedez (who seemed as thrilled to be there as an alcoholic in AA), Lanny Barbarie, and several others, including the "Twins" Lacey and Lyndsay Love. I swear they shared one brain. I never saw someone have to stop in the middle of drawing a heart and think of how to finish it. If that's not bad enough, upon one photographer's request to "look over your shoulder" (where the girl usually would turn away from the camera and look back, over her shoulder, toward it), Lacey actually just looked over her shoulder completely away from anything. You had to be there to fully appreciate it.

One of our first stops was to see Ashton Moore and her bodyguard. Ashton is awesome. I have known her and that damn bodyguard (Jay) for years and they are two of the most down to earth people I have ever met. Of course, Ashton had to start in with complaints of me falling off the face of the earth and not emailing her, etc. She piped down as soon as I pointed out that many of my emails to her were responded to by Jay thus, she could blame him for her never seeing them. We would stop by and see/harass Ashton whenever time permitted (or if we ever saw a lull in her line). Ashton was one of the only (in fact I think she was THE only) CJ girl who was scheduled for more than one signing a day. She mostly signed for an hour or two in the morning, then had 2 hours off, before coming back and signing for at least 2 more hours in the afternoon. What a trooper. However, Ashton is one of the few who really seems (and claims) to love meeting the fans and posing for pics and signing autographs. While some of the girls there just seem to go through the motions, Ashton never does.

Cherokee was next on our must see list. Cherokee is the most hilarious woman I have ever met. No one can dish it out and take is as good as she can. Hell, anyone who can keep up with me and my sarcasm gets all my respect. Cherokee looked great but was not thrilled with the flight attendant uniform the "Spice Studios" booth was making her wear (all three days). Once again Cherokee wins for photo of the year. If last year's full nelson wasn't enough, wait till you see this years' pic!

The whole time we were at the convention we kept looking for the booth that Brea Bennett was allegedly supposed to be signing for. We found it, but never found her at it. I refused to give up though!

Amongst the many other highlights (and I apologize for anything I may overlook)...

Lauren Phoenix. Still as hot as ever. The dark her looks great on her. Gotta love a girl that can talk football with you.

Justine Joli. A pleasant surprise as we had no idea she was even going to be appearing. An even more pleasant surprise when she remembered who the hell I was. The girl goes all out with her outfits. (She puts more thought into what she is going to wear, and has a background story on it, than anyone I know). If that's not enough, she could probably kick your ass if need be. I know she's body checked a few guys in the past.

Kaylynn. Another surprise. Kaylynn was so thrilled to see us that she actually signed one of my photos "To Kaylynn". Uh.. ok.

Hanna Harper. I must have as many photos with Hanna as I do Ashton Moore. I don't know why, but I do.

Amy Lee. I have no idea who she is. I never heard of her before but she posed for the best pictures and had a phenomenal attitude!

Belladonna. I haven't seen her in 2 years since she had a baby last year. Bella is so awesome. I had a ton of things for her to sign and she just signed them all without hesitation. When I was done she then offered to sign a picture for me, threw in a DVD, a lanyard and a picture with. Too sweet to imagine.

Katie Morgan. "The HBO Girl". Katie looks amazing and still makes sure she says "tada" upon signing a picture (before blowing on it). She is brilliant at playing the ditzy blonde.

Brea Bennett. Friday afternoon, Jenna Jameson is supposed to announce the latest finalist in her search for the next Club Jenna girl. I figure I may as well walk by the booth, which I'm sure will be swamped, to see if I can find Brea. Somehow, I spot her (and her opponent) on the side of the booth posing for photos. I snap a few then get a picture with Brea. The area was getting so packed with people we moved on and never heard the announcement. The next day, I saw Brea handing out DVD's so I went over to get one. We asked if she had made it and she told us she was a finalist. (It seems she lost the voting by 100 votes but Jenna got to choose a "wild card" and she was the one chosen). We discussed the show, MySpace, and a few other things before leaving. After all, I didn't want her to think I was stalking her! BTW the winner will be announced on Friday, January 20th so please go to AmericanSexStar.com and vote for Brea Bennett. What the hell else do you have to do after you read this and look at all the pictures? Later we saw Brea signing at a booth (not the one she told me she'd be signing for! LOL) so we got an autographed photo of her and exchanged cards. (Who won out on that deal? I get a Brea Bennett card, she get's a WrestlingClothesline.com card!). Brea is not only a beauty but a sweetheart. She instantly won me over (and Frank). If she doesn't win the contest.. it's rigged!

Lanny Barbarie. I must have gotten at least one picture with her each day. Very nice and you have to love the accent!

Alexis Amore. The first thing out of her mouth, as always, "Have you seen Ashton?" Alexis is great. She just needs more to talk about! LOL

Lana Kinnear. The artist formerly known as Lana Star. Only Lana would be able to talk wrestling and fill us on in the latest news regarding her friend, Christy Hemme, who was recently released bt the WWE. Both Lana and Christy will be working the "Lingerie Bowl" at halftime on SuperBowl Sunday. Lana made sure to tell us to come back and visit. (We tried to on Saturday but Lana was not there when we were).

Carmen Luvana. Always a highlight. Oy Papi!!

Jill Kelly. She happened to stop by to see Ashton while we were there. Lucky for me, I had a picture of her and I together which she signed.

Cindy Crawfors. Always a highlight as well and looking as good as ever.

Lowlights:

The Digital Playgorund booth. For whatever reason, DP thinks they are the premeire company in the business. Surprise! Attitude does not make you that great. On Thursday they would not allow their girls to sign autographs. On Fri and Sat their girls didn't start signing until noon (even though the convention opened at 9 and 10 am). What a joke. No big loss. I can live without Jesse Jane, Teagan, Janine, and the rest.

There were more "new" girls here, that I don't think anyone has ever heard of. They'll all be gone by next year. Sadly, as Ashton Moore said, "and they're all going to be the next Jenna". Most do think that, but as Jenna herself said, "There will never be another Jenna just like there will never be another Meryl Streep". Wait a minute. Is Jenna comparing herself to Meryl Streep??!! LOL

What else would you like to know??
