Sunday February 11, 2007 IndyGurlz @ The Boonton Elks Lodge
I am leaving early Monday morning for a well needed vacation. Since I have to pack and get ready, Heres a quick recap of the IG show.
I arrived in Boonton at noon to meet up with Brett and Ron. As I headed out of my car, I realized there was no Ron. Unfortunatley, Brett informed me Ron has a walking pneumonia (Get Well Ron and Stay Warm!). We headed over to our favorite spot in town, the Boonton Ave Grill (BAG---which I heard was sold to another owner and a name change will take effect sometimes down the road). We drank a few beers (October fest Hacker-Schorr) and chowed down on some delicious Fish and Chips w/ coleslaw. Could you imagine getting good fish n- chips in Boonton? As we were eating we got entertained by Big Jeff (Actually, Big Jeff is not big at all). He is a guitarist who sings kid songs at the BAG. The BAG uses him as a marketing scheme to bring in customers , especially parents with children. The only song I knew was The Wheels on The Bus Go Round And Round (which we both starting singing too after our 2nd 20oz beer). At least our bartender was entertained by us. He also sang Robot Farm, which was kinda catchy. It was now 2:15 and we decided to head over to the Elks Lodge. The doors opened around 2:30. The show started a few minutes after three. Luminaries in attendance, Brett, Dan, Mark, Marty, Ed Darcey, Paul Give it to him Kaylas mom, Erik Andretti, Robert Pleather Pays, Pete (ex-beard guy) plus mom and the Four Stalkers that got to every womens wrestling show on earth show. If I forgot to add you to the list please forgive me, Im doing this re-cap on memory.
No Show: Alicia
The opener saw the The Diva Killaz (Miss Deville & Kayla Sparks) d. The Jaw Breakers (Kylie Pierce & Fate). This was the main reason I went to this show to see the Diva Killaz Reunite (MARK). And the Diva Killaz ROCK (MARK). Along with the shirts Brett and I were wearing. The Killaz dominated most of the match and picked up the win when Kayla hit a move from the top rope on one of the Jawbreakers (just wondering where is Kenny Casanova?) Did I mention DeVille Loved our shirts.
Sumie Sakai d. Melissa Stripes. Sumie picked up the win with the Kiss of Death (thanks to Dan I didnt write down the results)
In the match of the night The Prize April Hunter d. Lacey with a Japanese Arm Wringer submission.
Daizee Haze d. Ariel with her hard heart punch Cindy Rogers d. Jana via a submission which we still havent asked her yet ask her what that finisher is called. Hackensack was no match for Rogers. Mercedes Martinez d. Nikki Roxx via reverse decision when Roxx refused to let go of a submission hold. Roxx remained IndyGurlz World Champion Cindy Rogers ran down for the save. So does mean Cindy will get her title show that she deserves? We shall find out at the next IG show.
