"ANTHONY'S ASYLUM"

Hello, indy wrestling fans everywhere my Name is Anthony, and Welcome to the debut of the Wrestling Clothesline's latest column investment: "Anthony's Asylum!"

Here in "Anthony's Asylum," Indy wrestling in general will get it's fair 2nd opinion, since people's 1st is usually not! This is the only column where "20-dollar champions" are treated like "A-list" Hollywood actors, for their work-ethic speaks volumes of intensity. Gone are the days of bombastic Internet lies of said wrestler/promotion. In "Anthony's Asylum," wrestling, and said wrestler's work ethic is the only thing that matters!

This week's edition of Anthony's Asylum we'll take a look at indy wrestler, Dan, "DA Man"

I was on my way to work last Friday afternoon when I ran into indy wrestler, Dan "DA Man." It seemed as though he was on his way to a show that he had been booked to wrestle. I must say, what usually seems like a long and tedious bus commute to work for me felt more like an adventurous joy ride for this one moment. During this 35 minute ride to work, we managed to cover just about every aspect of the wrestling business: the promoters, politics, the unfair pay, and even the past stars that are currently working in the independent scene. Interestingly, Dan explained to me how he has a degree in film production and how he found work in local TV stations. Getting back to wrestling, I've been a fan of Dan for about 2 years one match that I vividly remember, was the classic hard-core ladder match that he had with Rob Vegas last year. Those two warriors put on a hell of a show. In fact, during that time I was selling tickets for Gino Caruso's ECPW and in the crowd was a friend of mine whom I had sold a few tickets to, mind you that he was not used to the whole indy scene and was even skeptical about sticking around to watch the entire show. Then came the Dan DA Man VS Rob Vegas hard-core ladder match, my friend was blown away by the excellent show displayed by both men that night. My friend liked what he saw so much that he was craving for more, just like a vampire craves blood!

That's it for this edition of "Anthony's Asylum," Thank you for reading my column, see you next time! If you have any questions or comments you can send your feedback at my email address: creamtpf@aol.com
